Adaptive Dance
VBC’s Adaptive Dance program is for students ages 9-14 who need additional support to participate in dance class. Our program staff is trained to teach dance to individuals with physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities, behavioral needs, and sensory needs. Our goal is to make enjoying dance accessible to everyone!
Due to the nature of this program, there will be no trial class allowed.
Prior to registering, parents must participate in an intake interview with the Program Lead to ensure this program will benefit their child and their needs will be met. Registration is not possible without an intake interview. Please contact christinegilmore@vaballet.org to schedule.
Students are required to be independent with toileting and be able to attend class without a 1:1 aide. Exceptions can be made, however they must be discussed in detail during the intake interview.
